P-CNC Machine Tool Control

The Mektronix P-CNC incorporates standard PC components to provide a low-cost alternative to proprietary controls. The System Development Package installs easily and interprets industry standard G and M codes. It consists of the MCP-04 four axis motion controller, a relay and terminal I/O module, a set of three interconnect cables, and the P-CNC application software with support utilities. P-CNC is tailored to the production environment, providing button and control panel displays that are simple and intuitive. Full run-time execution displays are updated continuously and allow interactive on-screen modification.

  • Jogging

The jog menu provides manual control of all machine operations including spindle speed, tool selection and switch settings. Reference positions may also be defined.

  • Help Screens

On-line help is only a key press away. Context sensitive operational instructions as well as G-code programming definitions are displayed.

  • DRO Mode

The DRO mode provides large position readouts for all axes. The operator may use the keyboard curser keys or a handwheel to position the machine manually.
